We are looking for individuals 18 years of age and older to take the step into the sports world of officiating football, basketball, soccer or volleyball for our middle-level teams at CCA, Dean Morgan, Centennial and CY.
There are not many requirements to become an official at the Middle Level.
• The first is to be a minimum of 18 years of age.
• The next is basic knowledge of the sport or sports.
• Take time to read, learn and be able to apply the rules in the handbook for the sport.
• A written rules book test is not required.
• You do not have to become a part of the Officials Association.
• You will need the flexibility in your daily schedule to work games after school.
• We would like you to register with the Wyoming High School Activities Association, and we pay the registration fee.
• Attend one or two informal training sessions provided by current officials or Athletic/Activities Facilitators
• We will pair you up with an experienced official when you first begin working.
• We promise to pay you for every game you work, Football-$65/game, Basketball-$60 or $55/game, Soccer-$55.00/game and Volleyball-$45.00/game. This is a per-game rate. You may work two basketball games or two volleyball games per afternoon. The average game length is 1hour and 15minutes.
• You furnish your own work attire with stripes.
